Winter Layers

HAPPY NEW YEAR (almost;) EVERYONE!  Any plans?

I’ll be here in Seattle taking it easy after enjoying an amazing holiday with family and friends.   It’s been such a busy month that being home to ring in the New Year feels right.  I’ll be using the next few days to put away most of Christmas, leaving the tree up until New Years day.  Also on my to-do list: clean out the refrigerator, organize the pantry and last, restock my kitchen with cleansing, immune building foods.

If you follow my Instagram you saw we had snow on Christmas Eve and day .. so magical!!  With ski season in full force, I thought I’d share a few of my go-to pieces to stay warm and cozy whether you are skiing, walking in the snow, or enjoying Apres Ski activities.

Layering is always a good idea.  I start with a camisole, light shirt, and then add my Patagonia pullover or vest.  Eddie Bauer makes some very comfy leggings that I wore in the snow with my Sorel Boots.   You can add a vest although I ended up carrying mine ..and it was mid thirties.

A warm, hooded coat is essential.  I have been wearing this one from JCrew and I also wear my Burberry coat if it’s not too cold.

Hooded sweatshirts and boots are fun for casual outings.  This one has been my favorite and I wear it with black Zella leggings and these Sorrel Boots that are currently 20% off.
