Happy Friday! Whether you ski, snow board, or just prefer a gentle walk in the snow, you’ll need to layer up and make sure to protect your skin.

Before heading out on the slopes don’t forget to apply a rich moisturizer to your face, hands, and neck.  Night creams like Enriched Biotherapy or Eminence Monoi Age Corrective Night Cream  are typically a thicker consistency and might be a good option if you are in extreme cold weather.  Add a serum to help seal in moisturize and protect the skin and then don’t forget to add sun protection.  Try Skinceuticals B5 Gel and/or CE Ferulic (both are excellent serums) and then follow up with your favorite moisturizer.

Coat your lips with a rich balm like Lanolips .    It’s a relatively new line and not filled with preservatives;)  Last, don’t forget your sunscreen. There are lots of great sunscreens out there.  Find one you like and use it!  My favorites are the physical, non chemical based products like ELTAMD or Coola SPF 30.

Stay warm and layer up! A thermal or a Stretch Jersey Top are perfect layering pieces.  If you get into some really cold conditions a warm cashmere or wool sweater is essential and of course a parka and gloves.

Après ski time calls for a comfortable and warm snow boot.  Try Sorel (see mine here) and I also love these moon boots!
