Beauty: on-the-go fix
I’ve been meaning to write this post for a while now! Today I’m talking about the minimalist. The woman that tells me she wants an on-the-go beauty fix because she doesn’t have time or desire to spend playing with make up . Most of the time I enjoy the ritual of cleansing and skin care but there are days when I just don’t want to bother.
So I came up with what I consider to be just the basics .. maybe what you’d do prior to running the kids to school or heading out to the gym. First, always cleanse! There are so many great products and I do enjoy switching things up. With the dry winter weather I’ve been using hydrating products like Regenerating Cleanser , Hydrating Floral Essence, and Reparative Moisturizer in the morning. Always apply UV protection as your final step. Skinceuticals Physical Fusion UV Defense 50 is a slightly tinted matted sunscreen that seems to be popular among my patients. If you want a moisturizer with sun protection, CeraVe Moisturizer with SPF 30 is a good over the counter product. Ordering on Amazon is easy and not too expensive.
Beauty: On-the-go Fix
- Warm a cream blush or Cheek-Lip Tint in the heels of your hands. I also love this one by RMS!
- Press into the contours of your cheeks and blend upward.
- Dot Illuminzer on your cheek bones and blend into the blush.
- Use a bronzer blush to contrast the cream textures.
- Tap your lips with the Cheek-Lip Tint
Balance
Life sometimes moves at a hectic, nonstop pace that can leave us feeling overwhelmed and stressed. Taking time to rest and calm down is essential to our physical health and will help reduce the visible signs of aging. Essential oils have been used for centuries to help us manage stress and promote vitality. Before leaving for the day I try to remember to add a drop of Aromatic Stress Treatment to my wrists. The blend of natural florals and essential oils are said to promote relaxation and reduce stress.
