Christmas Touches in the Bedroom

I don’t know about you but I’m feeling like time is speeding up and slowing down all at the same time!

I’ve been a busy bee over here preparing for the season of Christmas.  Our first holiday party is the first weekend in December so everything has to be up and looking festive for our guests.  There is always a mad dash get everything ready and then things slow down and we can focus on time with family and friends.

This year I stayed true to my design esthetic and chose simple decor for our bedroom that would compliment the beautiful Pacific Northwest.  Pom Pom at home bed linens took center stage. The Belgium linen and casual style works suits us.  I wash and dry the duvet cover and shams and they go right back on the bed.  Yep, optional ironing!

To keep us warm and cozy on those cold winter nights, we added the Tula Throw.  It feels so luxurious and is the perfect extra layer for our winter bed.

Subtle touches like ribbon on the handle of the door is a simple way to add a little whimsy to your space.  I filled a woven basket

with store bought greenery and a few flameless candles.  I love the glow of candles at night and I can safely leave these on without worry.

I found this fun bench on Etsy and added a single bell for a holiday touch.  Below the bench is one of my favorite baskets filled with extra throws.

This little tree reminded me of the Charlie Brown tree.  I brought up my plant stand and love the way this looks, simple and natural.

On my side table I added a vase with fresh greens and a holiday candle from Olive Branch Vintage.  The candles are natural burning and I like the vintage glass container.

I added a fun scroll with faux garland above the bed and brought out my pom pom garland from last year.  I love the detail on the Pom Pom at Home linens and this handwoven Lola pillow with taupe pom poms and ivory stripes.

One question before you leave.  Do you still hear the Christmas Bell?

Stay tuned for our holiday home tour and Christmas tree!
