holiday cards: How to style your family photos
The season of Holiday gift giving is upon us and it’s time to order holiday cards! There’s a cold bite in the air and we’ve already had our first snowfall. I can’t think of anything that would be more festive and fun than a white Christmas.. fingers crossed!
I’ll be using the long weekend to get more decorating done as we celebrate Thanksgiving, the season of gathering. No gifts, just lots of merriment, and family time as we celebrate.
Usually by mid November I have my holiday cards in process so they can get in the mail over the next week or so. This year was no different and I received my package from Minted yesterday! So today I’ll start by sipping my coffee, listening to the rain, and writing notes to family and friends on my holiday cards.
Our Photos:
We decided to choose a local spot for our photos. It’s always easiest to simplify things, outfits included, when you are doing family photos. Our daughter was married over the summer so we feel blessed to welcome a new family member!! Family is everything to me and the more the merrier!
Layla was also there (of course!) and as we took our photos she went straight into a muddy marsh and came out with black paws, LOL! There was no place to wash her off so she is in our photos with black paws, ha!
Once I received our photos, I picked my favorites and downloaded them on to my computer. Next, I logged into my Minted account and reviewed the many holiday design options. Seriously, it’s like being in a candy store! There are so many to choose from. I designed a few, saved them, and then went back to review each card prior to deciding on my favorite. You can add more than one photo, add a picture to the back of the card, and design your own font. Once the card is finished you will continue on to the envelop design. Again super easy, you have the option of adding a contact list so Minted can add addresses and even stamps if you’d like.
Here are the stamps I picked out!
How adorable is this plaid design!?
..and who can resist all this merriment?!
Good NEWS! Minted is currently offering 15% off their cards with the code BEMERRY at checkout. If you haven’t ordered your cards, take a quick peek!
