Today marks the beginning of our holiday home tour series.  This week I’ll be sharing the details of my mantle and our home at Christmastime.  At the end of the post I’m sharing lots more inspiration!  I’ve teamed up with a group of talented bloggers and we are all sharing glimpses into our homes.  Enjoy!

I kept the entrance to our home simple by adding garland, a DIY wreath with my dried oranges, and white poinsettias wrapped in burlap and tied with a velvet ribbon. I found the monogrammed door hangers on Etsy.   I planted a small tree in one of my baskets and added a few branches of pine to the vintage urns.  Everything is fresh. The weather is cold and rainy at this time of year so these items will last through December.

It’s a tradition to cut out tree the Friday after Thanksgiving.  We’ve been going with a flocked tree however this year I wanted something simple and traditional looking.  I used wood ornaments and mercury glass to decorate the tree.

In the kitchen I added a handmade wreath to the hood of my range and a framed picture of a Christmas tree.  Touches of Christmas were also added to our open shelves.  We always have a Gingerbread House on display.  I prefer the small ones, that way there’s still plenty of room for Christmas treats.  We always make our own Gingerbread House so it’s very simple with sweet imperfections. Candles are a must as is my homemade stove top potpourri.

This candle is a Jenni Kayne Cedar candle in a ceramic container.  When I finish burning it I’ll use it to hold my make brushes.  You can use my code lemongrovelane20 to shop and receive a discount.  Check out the holiday items here.

Lots of fresh greenery, wood candle sticks, and pillar candles. A very simple and Pacific Northwest feel with lots of fresh pine, eucalyptus, and branches.

Paperwhites are a holiday tradition.  I plant them around Thanksgiving so they are blooming around Christmastime.  I wrapped several of these up and gifted them to my friends.  If you are interested in forcing paperwhites, head over to this blog post!

Lots of tapers, glitter houses, and bottle brush trees are lined up on my old wood pie safe.

We’ve always got food on the counter.  Pear and Brie Crostini are so easy if you are pressed for time.
