Spring Clean!

Hi Everyone!  I hope you’ve had a fun and productive week:)  Today we woke up to lots of sunshine and I’m ready to tackle some spring cleaning!

Toss and take inventory

There are lots of supplies that are expired or I will no longer need as the weather changes.  If I can’t donate it, I toss it.  The shelves my husband made for my small pantry will get a good cleaning as I remove the entire contents of my pantry (yes, it’s a mess!).

Shop

Next I’ll shop for fresh supplies and containers.  The jars are great for bulk items.  Rather than buying fancy labels I just use masking tape and a sharpie to label food items.

Group items

I place nuts and legumes in one section and cereals in another.  Placing items that are used daily up front and center is helpful.

Clean appliances

My stove and refrigerator gets a good scrubbing with a gentle soap.  The drawers will get vacuumed out or wiped down with a damp sponge.  Having pretty cleaning tools helps make all tasks easier so I’ve linked my favorites below:)  For the coffee pot I absolutely recommend this Scented Vinegar!  I use just a couple tablespoons to one pot water and you would not believe how clean you coffee pot will be!

Fresh flowers and candles

Always flowers!  ..and change out the candles to something fresh and summery.  I’m obsessed with this coconut mango ceramic candle ~ love it!

Here are a few links for the items I used in my kitchen:
