Weekend Edit: The Pantry
I’m reading ZEN Habits written by Leo Babauta and trying to apply some of the authors tips for organizing and simplifying my day. He recommends tackling one area at a time rather than multitasking which sounds like easy enough however I always seem to have several projects going at once. As mentioned in my Reset blog post I intend to focus on reducing waste, purchasing less, and better organization so I’m trying to implement these changes!
There are lots of resources available to help with organizing. Goop has a Home Edit section filled with inspiration for every room. This time of year is dark and rainy for us so it’s a good time to tackle indoor projects. If you follow my Instagram stories, you already know I’ve been working on my kitchen;)
These baskets are a good size and labels will be incentive for the family to put the food items back into the correct container. Purchasing bulk foods helps keep the grocery bill down. Pasta, beans, and cereals can go in air tight containers to keep them fresh. I purchased this Lazy Susan for the pantry and love it! If you have any more ideas, add them in the comment section for other readers:)
