wishing you a merry christmas
Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas Eve! This holiday season has been so much fun and I can’t believe tomorrow is Christmas. Where does the time go? Our home is packed to the brim with family and 2 additional furry friends, my daughter’s kitten and my mom’s King Charles. As you can imagine it’s totally chaotic with moments of pure pandemonium (see my stories!). Fortunately my husband and I thrive on a little chaos so we are fine with the current high level of activity which includes Christmas tree bulbs getting knocked off the tree, holiday music playing too loud, wrapping paper and ribbon everywhere, and counter tops layered with flour and cookie sprinkles. Yesterday my mom and I picked up whatever groceries we need for the next few days so we can just be home and not have to start the car for a day or two. This year we are planning a traditional Christmas dinner with prime rib and all the fixings. Following Christmas we will be enjoying some down prior to our New Years Eve festivities which will includes an overnight stay on a house boat in Seattle, a first for us!
Our to-do list for the week coming up:
- Drink lots of hot cocoa in my favorite mug
- Head up to our local ski resort to see snow and have an Irish Coffee
- Enjoy lots of down time with family, and wearing my favorite lounge wear and slippers
- Visit the Zoo (a family tradition at this time of year)
- Prepare for New Years Eve!
Wishing you and your family a very Merry Christmas and a happy and healthy New Year!

Hope you had a wonderful Christmas and New Year Leslie! What a beautiful family photo. I was was scrolling through your Instagram, and saw the photo of you and Layla in Leavenworth. I was there in the 70’s with my cousins, we stopped on our way back from a camping trip at Lake Wenatchee…but it was in the Summer! :) .
