This time of year I begin to de-clutter and prepare for Fall. Whether you are have school age children or not, the month of September seems like the right time to make a to-do list, organize, and prepare for the busy months to come.
Here is a short and simple list to get you started:
- Add a new vase and fresh, seasonal flowers to your table.
- Think about how you’ll want to utilize your table over the next few months. Do you need a table linen? How about linen napkins?
- Candles! Stock up on tapers and candle holders if needed.
- Restock your kitchen linens. I use a combination of functional bar mops and fine linens. There are so many options available and the finer linens get better with every wash.
- When the days get shorter and the temps begin to go down, I diffuse essential oils. I’ve been using Saje for years. I like their oil blends. Here are my favorites.

Early Fall style:
I start to layer in early fall. I’ve been living in this gauze top and also like this soft t-shirt. Both look great with a cozy sweater over the top. Add browns and camel color to your wardrobe. I own this dress and love to wear it with boots or flats. This skirt is so comfortable and is versatile. It’s very flattering and has pockets. I’m long-waisted and need to be careful with elastic waist anything. This skirt is cut such that it’s very flattering and it runs TTS.
