Today I’m excited to share a Simple Spring Table that you can pull together with market flowers and a few candles. When I was dreaming up ideas for this table I wanted to use flowers that would compliment the vintage French linen and then I added tapers and pillars in Petal. Come along as I share all the details of this Simple Spring Table that would be perfect for the weekend coming up, Easter, or Passover.
I started with a vintage French linen and added twisted tapers and pillar candles in petal and roses that fit in perfectly. Such a fun color combination for spring! I pulled out my vintage stoneware pitcher and added the most beautiful small bouquet of roses.
My preference is for a less fussy table that feels approachable such that my guests can casually have a seat without feeling like they are dismantling a display when they sit down.
Rather than purchasing new dishes and linens for each season or holiday, I reuse and repurpose what I have and seldom purchase new. Sometimes I’ll spend more for a decor item and you will see that I use it over and over again.
My ceramic gray dinner plates are topped with vintage patterned salad plates, all of them are different. As I set the table I pulled out a ceramic tray and filled it with colored eggs from our local farm. I’m loving how all these colors are coming together!
The vintage wine glasses are so sweet and the petite size makes them ideal for a sip of water or small pour of wine. The twisted candles are unique and I added the pillar candles for a different height.
There are so many different ways to style your linen napkins. Sometimes I simply lay it on top of the plate, other days I make a knot of sorts. A trick to keeping linens looking like new is to presoak spots with the laundress prior to washing. I also allow my linens to air dry.
For Easter I used the same square napkin for my DIY bunny ears! They came out so sweet :) Hop over to this blog post for directions!
The transferware plates are dishwasher safe and they look pretty displayed on open shelves. My ceramic dinner plates are my favorite dishes and I am still building a collection.
