Spring is in the air and it’s the perfect time for a Family Room Refresh! We added a sleek, leather lounge chair from Lulu and Georgia and I couldn’t be happier with how this space turned out!
Sometime in January I decided it was time to start a Family Room Refresh. Since we remodeled 5 years ago this has been the one room I’ve struggled with the most. I’ve added various pieces of furniture, searched pinterest boards, and looked through countless design books only to come up with nothing.
We added shiplap (tutorial here) a couple years ago and I thought that would help inspire me but it wasn’t until Lulu and Georgia sent us the Kady Lounge Chair that I finally felt that this space looked complete.
The Yvet rug and Sun at Six coffee table (also like this one.) are also from Lulu and Georgia. To warm up my neutral space I added baskets, linen, striped pillow covers, and the light wood coffee table.
You might remember that I had a fiddle leaf tree here, unfortunately it started to have problems with it about a year ago and I finally had to toss it. The tree was replaced with a black tripod lamp (also like this one) that brings just the right amount of light to the corner area. In addition to adding a contemporary touch to this space, the soft light is perfect in the evenings so I don’t have to turn on the over head lights. I also like the black accents pieces on either side of the fireplace. The sectional was freshened up with a few striped pillows and a linen throw.
