Hello Friends! Today I’m sharing holiday gift wrapping with a natural touch. Staying with a neutral, minimalist theme for Christmas this year I found the prettiest wrapping paper. Next I added a velvet bow and topped each gift with something from nature. This is so simple and I like the idea of either foraging or adding tree farm greenery to each package. If the kids are involved, ask them to choose something that represents nature during the holidays and see what they come up with!

This year each gift with will topped with something from the garden or foraged from our forest. To recreate this look you will need two different types of wrapping paper, twine, velvet ribbon, and vintage gift tags.

I’ve said before I’m not very crafty so rest assured, this is super simple.
Step by step instructions: gift wrapping with a natural touch
- Search Etsy for wrapping paper and ribbon. Narrow down your search by adding a theme. For example, vintage gift cards.
- Gather supplies: scissors and tape
- Head to the garden, tree farm, or nursery to find greens or dried flowers to place on top of each gift.
- Wrap each gift and then use twine and/or velvet ribbon to tie each package.
- Top with juniper berries, pine – or pine cone, cinnamon, dried orange, or dried flowers.
- Add a unique gift tag.
Another fun idea is to add dried oranges! If you’ve never dried citrus (try lemons too), here’s instructions. Citrus links look pretty on anything pine. I also love it on the fireplace mantle.
Beige or this ‘buck skin’ velvet ribbon is my favorite. It looks so beautiful with the pine. I stuck a little baby’s breath on this package;)
