How to set a cozy and simple holiday table

Staying with this years theme of natural, minimal decor I wanted to share how to set a cozy and simple holiday table that includes an olive leaf centerpiece, a few garden roses, and candles.

Adding cozy throws, plush sheepskin, and a pillow here and there begs guests to linger after dinner for conversation.  When family and friends want to stay awhile that’s a good sign you’ve created just the right ambiance.  Sheepskin seat covers and rugs are draped over chairs and laid under foot.

Also perfect for a small pour of wine, these glasses also look pretty filled with garden roses and tucked around the live olive leaf garland. This garland would also look beautiful on a mantle. Vintage wine glasses, each one unique at each place setting plus antler serve ware, a ceramic plate and linen napkin, that’s it.  I found this gorgeous frayed linen table cloth and love the color so much.

Candles are an everyday thing here.  Adding tea lights to a votive is easy or if you want to take it up a notch, add tapers.  Drippless are a good idea if you are using a tablecloth.
